Well, with every thing that gets boring in life, we need to add some excitement. So a friend of mine, Kaycie, suggested that we do this, Runner’s World Summer Streak 2012. Basically between today (5/28) and Independence day (7/4), you have the goal of running a minimum of 1 mile a day. That’s not bad. In fact, it’s only 38 days, and if we assume 100 calories/mile, we’re gonna burn 3800 calories, or a pound!
Now, the goal is not to run onlya mile a day, but at least to get out there and move, especially with all of those back yard bbq’s and summery drinks like margaritas that will kill us. I know that I’m a little nervous about this, but at the same time, I think that It will be great! Happy running and happy distractions to all!
